Birmingham Edgbaston Labour is really pleased that our petition to save Harborne Farmer's Market was heard and that Harborne BID has managed to save Harborne Farmer's Market.
Cllr Jayne Francis, Harborne Labour Councillor said:
I am really pleased that Harborne BID can confirm that the Farmer's Market has been saved! Stalls will be back tomorrow to coincide with the Christmas lights switch-on. If all goes well the market will be back in December. I hope people will support this popular market - as a Director of the BID I am doing everything I can to keep our High Street a great place to do business in!
Birmingham Edgbaston Labour Party were out talking to local businesses and residents at the last Farmer's Market back in October. They expressed anger and disappointment that the monthly market, which has been on our High St for 18 years, was ending. The Conservatives, by contrast, who claim to be the party of business, did not even bother to turn up. Labour are the party supporting local British businesses, with a plan for the future of our high st and we will always listen to local residents.
